Kodak PhotoCD
Kodak PhotoCD provides an inexpensive convenient way to digitize your images. Either at the time of processing or afterwards.

PhotoCD's can be made from either transparency or negative films, in color and black & white. Conventional PhotoCD is only from 35mm films, but the Professional PhotoCD can handle film up to 4x5, though at a higher cost,

The quality of the scans can be excellent (depending on the technician who can modify the scan from preset transforms) for all but mural work.

A standard PhotoCD disc can hold 100 images. You pay a small fee for the disc itself. Images can be added to the same disc later until the maximum number is reached. Duplicate discs can be made from either film or other PhotoCD discs allowing edited collections of images to be produced.

Most new computers come with a CD-ROM drive built in making this almost a universal, cross-platform imaging solution.
